Phonetime Inc. is a diversified long distance telecommunications company established in 1994 to become one of the first companies in Canada to sell pre-paid calling cards. From this modest beginning, the Company now operates one of the largest privately held domestic telecommunications networks and a growing international network currently comprised of facilities in North America, Europe and Africa. With a scalable and redundant network platform comprised of traditional analog TDMA and digital VoIP technologies, managed with sophisticated proprietary software, Phonetime offers a full complement of retail long distance services across Canada and wholesale services to carriers around the world.

On the retail front, Phonetime annually sells over 2.5 million cards representing 300 million minutes of long distance traffic through more than 2,500 retailers and 5,000 Point of Sale machines in high traffic retail areas across Canada. The Company’s Call Select subsidiary (established in 2004) strategically markets long distance services to well-defined ethnic communities and now has over 90,000 active residential and business subscribers across Canada built through the efforts of its own multi-lingual call centre and through the acquisition of several “switchless” long distance service providers.

Phonetime commenced offering wholesale long distance services in November 2006 and with its acquisition of Symphony Telecommunications in late 2007, it now operates an extensive network of international direct connections, including challenging routes into Africa and South East Asia. Phonetime currently connects to more than 200 carriers of all sizes around the world, for which it originated and delivered more than 3.5 billion minutes of long distance traffic in 2007. With sales representation on six continents and a unique and valued position as an intermediary carrier, delivering traffic between small and large carriers, the Company continues to experience rapid growth in its wholesale operations.
