Gary Clifford - Chairman & CEO
Gary is a seasoned telecommunications manager and turnaround expert. Gary has worked with and advised a number of telecommunications operators. Gary joined the Phonetime as its Chairman in December 2009 and in April 2010 implemented a turnaround at the Company, wherein her assumed the role of interim Chief Executive Officer. Gary is a graduate of the University of Toronto, a Chartered Accountant and a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors, wherefrom he holds a Certificate in Director Education. Gary is a principal investor in Penfold Capital Corporation, a private merchant bank.
Mike Vazquez - CFO/COO
Mike Vazquez joined Phonetime in November of 2006 as the Director Of Operations, in order to launch the wholesale division at Phontime. Mr. Vazquez has been in Telecom for over 13 years and spent most of those years building networks across the globe. During 2002-2006, as President of Ntera, he build an extensive network which represented over 58 cities globally and passed nearly a billion minutes per month. Prior to his work at Ntera Mr. Vazquez worked on several key fundamental aspects in Telecom industry including the facility creations at Switch and Data where he managed the building and management of then start-up telecom company which grew to be one of the country's largest Colocation providers today.
Torge Dennen - VP Procurement and NOC
Torge Dennen joined the Phonetime in November 2007 when Symphony was acquired by Phonetime.
As a co-founder of Symphony in 2002, Mr Dennen was primarily responsible for in country business development, sales and operations. Symphony grew to $50 Million dollars in annual sales and became a market leader in key African and Asian markets as a supplier to key carriers in the US and Europe.
Prior to founding Symphony Mr Dennen worked for 4 years as business development contractor for Denwa Communications. During this time his primary role was in country business development and engineering, building International Private lines in Africa and the Middle East.
Trevor Dearman - VP Business Development
Trevor Dearman joined the Phonetime management team in November of 2007. Mr. Dearman brings strategic vision and over 15 years of experience that is specific to Phonetime's International Wholesale division. During those years, Mr. Dearman has traveled extensively to many underdevelop countries throughout the world. To this end, he has been responsible for the planning, procurement and deployment of telecommunications infrastructure in many of those countries.
Prior to Joining the management team of Phonetime Networks, in October 2002 Mr. Dearman co-founded Symphony Telecommuniations. Mr. Dearman was responsible strategic planning, financial controls, and systems development for the company's growth to $50 million in profitable annual sales. Symphony was sold to Phonetime Networks (PHD.TO) in November of 2007.
In 1996 Mr. Dearman co-founded Denwa Communications. As Chief Operating Officer for Denwa, Mr. Dearman was instrumental in Denwa's pioneering role as one of the first next-generation carriers. In his early carrier, Mr. Dearman held several other several key positions with International Telecommunications carriers including MCI.
